Drake Drops Family Matters Against Kendrick

Timelines Involved

Analysis

14 hours after "6:16 in LA" released on Instagram, Drake releases Family Matters, which he was hyping up in Push Ups and Taylor Made Freestyle, in response to Kendrick Lamar's "euphoria" and "6:16 in LA". In this song just like euphoria he has 3 beat switches.
Throughout this song he calls out that the image he puts out is a facade. He demonstrates this through multiple lines such as,
"Always rappin' like you 'bout to get the slaves freed
You just actin' like an activist, it's make-believe
Don't even go back to your hood and plant no money trees"
He also goes on to say in this song and on a future diss track, The Heart Part 6, that one of Kendrick's kids are not his and is actually Dave Free's, a close worker to Kendrick.
"I heard that one of 'em little kids might be Dave Free"
In the second verse he disses basically every single rapper who was currently on bad terms with such as Future, The Weeknd, Rick Ross, among others.
In the third verse he talks about how people praise Kendrick no matter what he does.
"Kendrick just opened his mouth, someone go hand him a Grammy right now"
He also claims that Kendrick is the one who told the 2Pac estate to send a cease-and-desist letter to take down Taylor Made Freestyle.
"A cease and desist is for hoes, can't listen to lies that come out of your mouth
You called the Tupac estate and begged 'em to sue me and get that shit down"
He then goes after Kendrick's relationship with his girlfriend, Whitney, saying that why aren't they married yet, and claims it's most likely because Kendrick is cheating on her. Lastly the final claim he makes is that Kendrick Lamar beat Whitney and we don't know about it due to him hiring a crisis management team to hide the evidence. There were theories that Drake may be mentioning a 2014 rumor of Kendrick beating a girl in Vegas, on an interview with Breakfast Club Kendrick denied those rumors.
"There's nowhere to hide, there's nowhere to hide, you know what I mean
They hired a crisis management team to clean up the fact that you beat on your queen"
Drake would release another song, Buried Alive Interlude Pt. 2, around the same time for promo of Family Matters though it would be largely overshadowed since just 52 minutes and 25 seconds later Kendrick Lamar responded with a diss track of his own, Meet The Grahams.
