Analysis
Kendrick Lamar's first full diss track towards
Drake that released 17 days after
Pushups first leaked and 11 days after
Taylor Made Freestyle. This track has 3 different beat switches which is a nod to his verse on
Like That.In the first verse he is setting up the stage for the rap battle to come, calling him out for blatant flaws which would be further explored in this and future tracks. There was a call back to

The Heart Part 4"But don't tell no lie about me and I won't tell truths 'bout you" - EuphoriaIn the second verse he calls him out for disrespecting 2Pac on

bad terms for most likely over a decade, there were some speculations that he might've been asking him to do a feature on
First Person Shooter since J. Cole talks about the big three there. In response to Drake saying how bad his contract is on
Pushups, Kendrick responds with "show me your splits, I'll make sure I double back with ya", saying that he has a far better deal than Drake. He accused him of sending a cease and desist on
Like That. Talks about how he is a terrible father who doesn't raise his son at all or at least properly which was a topic first introduced by
Story of Adidon. Lastly, he says to not respond to this record because he will come back far harder. The next song in this beef was from Kendrick again with it being
