The Blueprint by Jay-Z that Kanye West worked on released
This was a breakthrough moment for Kanye West and he described this entire process in his Interview with MTV and on his song Last Call. The summary is this, once he was in Newark he commuted to Baseline Studios and over there he met Jay-Z and played beats for him. He played the beat for "Heart of the City" and Jay-Z was immediately impressed, after that it was Jay-Z who was asking to hear more. Jay-Z asked Kanye to put those beats in a CD before leaving, these beats would end up being on this album, "The Blueprint".
