Interview with MTV and on his song
Last Call. The summary is this, once he was in
Newark he commuted to Baseline Studios and over there he met Jay-Z and played beats for him. He played the beat for "Heart of the City" and Jay-Z was immediately impressed, after that it was Jay-Z who was asking to hear more.
